“The World’s Loneliest Whale” is a documentary film following a team of researchers looking for an unusual whale. The world’s loneliest whale (aka the 52 hertz whale) calls at a unique 52 hertz frequency. This is different than any other whale species.
This led scientists to speculate that this whale may not be able to communicate with other whales. The documentary explores themes and loneliness and the profound need for connection. You get to see the challenges faced by the team as well as gain a deeper understanding of wildlife and human impact on oceans.
