Tom Whittemore is a Sailing & Surfing Instructor, Marine Wildlife Photographer and avid ocean travel enthusiast. Whittemore’s classes are taught in-person at East Coast beaches and available to water sports enthusiasts of all ages and ability levels.

Are you interested in water sports?  Maybe you’ve always wanted to stand at the helm of a sailboat, set on the course of adventure!  Perhaps you want to learn how to surf, but have no idea where to start.  Before hopping on a board to surf or setting sail on a boat, there are a few things you need to know!  A seasoned ocean traveler and water sports enthusiast, Tom Whittemore is a master at both sailing and surfing.  He has maintained a fleet of vessels for several years, which he docks at a local marina on the East Coast.  In his Sailing and Surfing Classes, Whittemore teaches the basic essentials of the water sports.  He currently offers classes on how to play water polo, water basketball and water volleyball; as well as provides instruction on the basics of surfing, sailing and windsurfing.  An avid ocean traveler and water sports enthusiast, Whittemore has spent most of his life enjoying the waters and beaches along the East Coast.  The chance to share his expertise on surfing and sailing is more than just a profession to Whittemore: it’s his life’s passion! The Surfing and Sailing Instructor is fulfilled by the opportunity to teach others how to participate in his favorite water ports. His Surfing Classes have become the most popular over the years. Although rigorous, the adventure of setting sail on a boat is one of the most rewarding experiences Whittemore has ever enjoyed!

Marine Wildlife and Underwater Digital Photographer

Tom Whittemore is a Digital Photographer who captures candid moments of marine wildlife, underwater.  Using a camera that is able to go underwater, Whittemore captures picturesque scenes of the exciting world in our oceans.  He has taken photos of turtles, fish, plankton and other aquatic creatures.  Known for his action shots, Whittemore’s photography focuses on marine wildlife in their natural habitat as they enjoy their daily routine.  As someone who cares deeply about marine wildlife and conservation of the planet, Whittemore hopes to contribute his photography to a nonprofit organization or charitable effort someday.  He also captures photos at water sports events, including action shots of water polo athletes, surfers and boats out on the water.
